Welcome to Blackjack Gordon Setters

We are family-run and located in Cannon Falls, MN.

We are lifetime pheasant hunters, and only in the past few years have we started competing in hunt tests, conformation, and walking and horseback field trials. The 2026 season was good for us despite the fact that Sandy was recovering from a serious horseback riding accident.

Dee Dee

Dee Dee won third in the 2025 GSCA Dual Purpose Dog of the Year award! Starting in April 2026 she won third and fourth place in Open Limited stakes at field trials in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Oregon. She finished the Fall season with a first in a Open Limited stake in Ohio, and a fourth in a Open Limited stake in Michigan.

Skye

Skye won fourth place in an Amateur Gun Dog stakes in OR, and first place (3 point Major) in Open Gun Dog in Ohio.

Duke

Duke won first place (3 point Major) in an Open Gun Dog Retrieving Stake in California, and a third and fourth place in retrieving stakes in Arizona.

Piper

Piper was bred to Skye late October and we are hoping the breeding is successful. Fingers crossed, we will have puppies the first of the year.

Our breeding program is small. The majority of our puppy owners are people who enjoy hunting, but want a dog as a pet, too. Our dogs are great with kids, and beautiful!
